Sharnbrook House is a listed Georgian building in the centre of the village of Sharnbrook approximately 10 miles north of Bedford on the A6. It is set in extensive and beautiful grounds with formal and informal gardens and lakes. There is easy access to the village shops and bus services to the nearby towns of Bedford, Rushden and Kettering. The house has a classical drawing room with library facilities, a sun-lounge and a garden room.

Sharnbrook House has a total of 30 bedrooms, some with en-suite facilities and many with outstanding views of the gardens or village. Each room is fully furnished to a high standard and is equipped with a call bell system, T.V. point, easily accessible light switches and plug sockets. There are a number of assisted bathrooms/shower rooms.

The Chef and her team are committed to providing interesting and nutritious meals. They always offer a wide choice of dishes and the menus are reviewed regularly and can cater for personal favourites and special or medical diets. A highly dedicated, qualified and experienced team of managers and staff ensure that each person is given the very best standard of care around the clock. Residents are treated with kindness and understanding and are encouraged to lead as full and independent a life as possible. Individual cultural and religious needs are respected. Social activities are organised for residents, and they are at liberty to participate in these or not; regular outings and entertainment are also arranged.

Our philosophy of care
Each Greensleeves home is unique, with settings ranging from a listed Georgian country house, to a modern purpose-built home in a London suburb. What is standard to all the homes, however, is a commitment to offer high quality care for older people in comfortable and affordable accommodation. We aim to take account of individual needs, to respect residents' rights, dignity and privacy and to give them the maximum opportunity to exercise personal autonomy and choice.

Greensleeves homes are registered under the Care Standards Act 2000 for the provision of personal care only. We are able to offer prolonged care for those with a variety of conditions providing that specialised nursing care is not required.

Before you move into one of our homes, therefore, we carry out a full assessment of your health, personal and social needs with you. This helps to decide whether a Greensleeves home will be right for you, and provides the basis for your plan of care when you move in.
