Birchwood provides personalised nursing and residential care for older people who are physically frail or who have dementia.

THE CARE

Friendly, caring staff, 24 hours a day

Our staff are selected not only for their experience and qualifications but also for their caring approach. Each resident has their own Key Worker responsible for ensuring that each individual’s personal needs are met.

Our staff are experts in the care of older people, and will work closely with residents and their relatives to formulate a personal care plan which will be reviewed on a regular basis.

Independence and freedom of choice

Residents in our care home are encouraged to lead a fulfilling life and to maintain their independence though day to day choices.

We appreciate the importance of quality of life. Our home has a full programme of activities which cover a wide range of interests and we maintain close links with the local community. Churches, schools and local groups are regularly invited to participate in the life of the home.

Please note that we are looking to convert 10 placements for specific nursing care so we can provide a full scope of care needs in relation to day care, respite, permanent residential and permanent nursing care.
