DESCRIPTION
Our charming Home is situated in picturesque countryside, where we provide a high standard of care 24 hours a day. Our Residents have varying needs from specialist Nursing support to general assistance with everyday living. Some stay with us on a permanent basis whilst others stay for short periods of time.
We offer Nursing care for older people as well as specialist Residential care for those with Dementia. We also offer Respite care to give home carers a much needed break.
Many of our private bedrooms have en-suite facilities and all are decorated to a high standard.
Our Residents can pursue their hobbies in our communal and quiet lounges situated throughout the Home. Our mature gardens boast colourful flowerbeds, mature trees, patio seating areas and a summer house where Residents enjoy the stunning views. These areas are used for relaxing, socialising and are great places to invite friends and families when they visit.
THE CARE
Thanks to our dedicated Activities Co-ordinator we have a full and varied activities calendar with events planned throughout the year. We often have professional entertainers to perform for our Residents and we organise regular trips in our mini bus to local places of interest including the Brighton, Windsor Castle, Basingstoke Museum and Bournemouth. There is a large lake next to the Home where many Residents enjoy fishing.
We arrange special meal nights when we invite relatives and friends to come along.
We support the UK National Dementia Strategy which ensures that key life skills are maintained, building purpose and providing nurture for Residents with Dementia. We organise group and individual activities but in our experience it is the one-to-one sessions that our Residents find most calming and rewarding.
Mealtimes are an enjoyable and sociable part of the day. Each one of our dining areas has tables laid with fresh flowers and linen and our menus are displayed to show the choices available. Snacks, fresh fruit and refreshments are provided 24 hours a day.
We have themed meals including food and wine from around the world. We also enjoy catering for special celebrations for our Residents, such as birthdays and anniversaries.
