DESCRIPTION
Situated on the outskirts of Huntingdon, 1 mile from the town centre, we aim to provide a homely and caring environment in which residents can, and are encouraged to, determine the pattern of their own lives.
We provide 24 hour care, a daily activities and entertainment programme, attractively decorated rooms, and traditional home-cooked food
Ringshill provides a safe and friendly environment for elderly people, with a Two Star CSCI rating.
THE CARE
Our residents enjoy 24 hour care and visitors are made to feel welcome at any time. We offer respite and permanent, residential or nursing care.
Ringshill is a busy home with a choice of activities taking place on a daily basis for residents who wish to become involved.
Our dedicated ''''''''''''''''activities team'''''''''''''''' have time to spend with residents playing cards, Bingo, board games, skittles, letter writing, taking them to the shops or just chatting.
Outings are organised on a regular basis. We also have many events taking place at the home such as summer fetes; sing a long sessions, seasonal pantomimes, picnics, coffee mornings and the Annual Christmas Dinner, which is open for all relatives to attend. Our next event is a Tickled Pink open day which is being held on 15th October.
Our hairdresser offers a hairdressing service once a week, in a specially designated room at the home, whether it is a cut, blow dry, perm or wash and set at a competitive rate.
Other visiting services include a chiropodist, The Door Step Library Service which operates in association with Huntingdon Library which enables residents to borrow books, including those in large print. A visiting minister takes communion at the Home once a month.
Our chef prepares a wide range of cooked food based on traditional cooking using fresh produce. Special diets are catered for and daily choices are available. Meals are served to suit the convenience of residents and can be served in the privacy of bedrooms or at the table in our dining room.
The accommodation offers 77 bedrooms, all of which have en-suite wash-hand basin and a television socket. The bedrooms are all decorated in attractive colour schemes with co-ordinated bed linen. All bedrooms have a call button above the bed for residents to request assistance as needed.. Residents are encouraged to bring as many of their belongings (pictures and photographs etc) and furniture as possible to make the room their own.
There is a pleasant courtyard for sitting out on sunny days. A lift serves all 2 floors (and there is of course automatic fire protection).
DIRECTIONS
