Rathmena is a purpose built care home, providing nursing and social care in a selection of differing rooms.

Many of our rooms are for single occupancy, although several are large enough for sharing companions.

Rathmena is situated in a residential area of Ballyclare, within easy reach of shops, other amenities and public transport. Specifically, the town centre is only + mile away.

Rathmena has TV lounges and a quiet sitting room (with both smoking and non-smoking areas). Separate dining rooms, where residents can join the company of others at meal times, are also an important feature of the home. Gardens and a secluded patio area are also available for use by residents.

Our Chef prepares a wide range of home cooked food based upon traditional cooking using fresh produce. Special diets are catered for and daily choices are available.

The home is attended by an experienced hair stylist, a qualified chiropodist, a physiotherapist and a range of complementary therapies can be arranged to suit individual requirement.

A varied programme of activities also takes place in the home for the benefit of residents.

Drive into Ballyclare from Hillhead Road. Follow the one way system around the Town Hall (so you''re back onto the road you''ve just left). Keep left onto Rashee Road, past a High School and turn left where there is a sign for Rathmena Gardens. The home is at the top of this avenue.
