DESCRIPTION

Abigail Lodge is a purpose built home, providing nursing and social care for the frail elderly and the mentally infirm elderly, in separate areas of the home.

All of our rooms are for single occupancy and all have en-suite facilities.

Abigail Lodge is situated in the Delves Lane of Consett, within easy reach of shops and other amenities, public transport and the M1 motorway. Specifically, Consett town centre is only 3/4 mile away.

THE CARE

Abigail Lodge is tastefully furnished and has TV lounges and a quiet sitting room. Separate dining rooms, where residents can join the company of others at meal times, are also an important feature of the home.

Our Cook prepares a wide range of home cooked food based upon traditional cooking using fresh produce. Special diets are catered for and daily choices available.

The home is attended by experienced hair stylists, a qualified chiropodist and a range of complementary therapies can be arranged to suit individual requirements.

A varied programme of activities also takes place in the home for the benefit of residents.

DIRECTIONS

From the South
Leave the A1(M)and travel through Durham onto the A691, through Lanchester towards Consett. A mile after Lanchester, climb a long hill and turn left towards Delves Lane. After the Black Diamond Pub, turn 2nd right into Gloucester Road. Abigail Lodge is on the left behind the Working Men''s Club.

From the North
Follow the A694 to Consett. Climb up ''Blackhill'' to a roundabout and turn right onto the A692. Continue through 2 sets of traffic lights and across the next roundabout into Delves Lane. Pass the supermarket and the Working Men''s Club and turn left into Gloucester Road.
