Peterlee is a purpose built care home, providing social care and, in a separate unit, nursing care for those with dementia.

All of our rooms are for single occupancy and all are en-suite.

The home is situated in the Peterlee suburb of Durham, within easy reach of shops and other amenities, public transport and the A19. Specifically, the Peterlee Shopping Centre is only half a mile away.

This home is rated by the Commission for Social Care Inspection as providing ''good'' outcomes for its residents.

Peterlee has TV lounges (with both smoking and non-smoking areas) and separate dining rooms, where residents can join the company of others at meal times, which are an important feature of the home.

Our Chef prepares a wide range of home cooked food based upon traditional cooking using fresh produce. Special diets are catered for and daily choices are available.

The home is attended by an experienced hair stylist, a qualified chiropodist and a range of complementary therapies can be arranged to suit individual requirement.

A varied programme of activities also takes place in the home for the benefit of residents.

From the A19, take the Peterlee slip road and follow B1320 through the town, across two mini roundabouts and one set of traffic lights. At the town centre roundabout, turn left into Essington Way. Continue past the College and turn right into Yoden Road and take first left onto Dunn Road, which becomes Westcott Road. After 50 metres turn right. Peterlee is directly ahead.
