Welcome to Longfield Care Home where we provide a high standard of care 24 hours a day. Our Residents have varying needs from specialist support to general assistance with everyday living. Some stay with us on a permanent basis whilst others stay for short periods of time.

We offer Nursing care for older people as well as specialist care for younger people with Physical Disabilities. We also offer Respite care to give home carers a much needed break.

We are very proud of our homely and welcoming atmosphere. We would be delighted to show you around so that you can experience it for yourself. There is so much more that we can tell you than we can include on these pages so please arrange to pop in for a chat.

Our Residents can pursue their hobbies in a number of communal and quiet lounges provided throughout the Home. These areas are used for relaxing, socialising and are great places to invite friends and families when they visit.

Our activities programme is tailored to our Residents’ preferences and we have a full and varied activities calendar with events planned throughout the year. We invite professional entertainers to visit regularly and there is always something going on from quizzes to musical events.

We organise regular trips to local places of interest including the library, park and the museum and we arrange special meal nights when we invite relatives and friends to come along.

Mealtimes are an enjoyable and sociable part of the day. Each one of our dining areas has tables laid with fresh flowers and linen and our menus are displayed to show the choices available. Snacks, fresh fruit and refreshments are provided 24 hours a day.

We have highly nutritious and varied menus and cater for all dietary and cultural needs. All of our food is prepared using fresh ingredients every day in our kitchens.

Residents can choose to have their meals in their own room or in our dining room depending on how they feel. We encourage friends and family to join us for meals or afternoon tea anytime.
