DESCRIPTION

Harbour View Lodge is a purpose built home, providing nursing and social care in a selection of differing rooms.

All of our rooms are for single occupancy and all are en-suite.

Harbour View Lodge is situated in a residential area overlooking the harbour in Whitehaven, within easy reach of shops, other amenities and public transport. Specifically, a local shop is opposite the home.

This home is rated by the Commission for Social Care Inspection as providing ''excellent'' outcomes for its residents.

THE CARE

Harbour View Lodge is tastefully decorated and features TV lounges and a quiet sitting room, with beautiful harbour views. Separate dining rooms, where residents can join the company of others at meal times, are also an important feature of the home.

Our Chef prepares a wide range of home cooked food based upon traditional cooking using fresh produce. Special diets are catered for and daily choices are available.

The home is attended by an experienced hair stylist, a qualified chiropodist and a range of complementary therapies can be arranged to suit individual requirements. A sensory/relaxation room has also been developed.

A varied programme of activities also takes place in the home and we have a highly skilled activities therapist.

DIRECTIONS

Take the A595 South from Workington towards Whitehaven. Before reaching the town, at a junction, turn right onto the A5094 New Road. Follow the road to the end, a bus station is on the left and a store is on the right. Take a sharp right turn onto Bransty Road and approximately quarter of a mile up the hill the home is set back off the road on the left.
