Brimington is a purpose-built residential dementia home set in a pleasant village on the outskirts of Chesterfield. Our modern building is designed specifically for the needs of our elderly residents, and we have a very caring team who work hard to make everyone feel at home.

We have regular outings to local places of interest, the library and the park. Our pleasant garden with comfortable seating area gives our residents the chance to sit back and relax. Plus our residents can enjoy a pre-dinner drink in our cosy bar area.

All our well-equipped bedrooms are en suite, clean and comfortable. There is a comfortable television lounge overlooking the garden, plus other areas for quiet relaxation. Our attractive lawned and patio areas are a popular place to sit, and the keen gardeners amongst our residents help keep it looking good.

THE CARE

Residents get very involved in planning activities with our Activities Co-ordinator. Popular pastimes include: Arts and crafts, Quizzes, Gardening, Performances from professional entertainers and local school children, Music therapy, Flower arranging, Animal Therapy, Birthday celebrations, Special and themed days and meal nights, Mini bus outings, Church services, Coffee mornings, One-to-one sessions (calming and rewarding), Seasonal events.

There’s no pressure to participate. If people prefer to relax or pursue their own hobbies and interests, that’s absolutely fine.

Meals are home-cooked by our own chef, and there is always a choice. We’re more than happy to cater for dietary and cultural needs. You can always find a speciality dish on the menu.
