Welcome to The Vale Care Home, our modern purpose built Home overlooking Bolsover Castle, where we provide a high standard of care 24 hours a day. Our Residents have varying needs from specialist Nursing support to general assistance with everyday living. Some stay with us on a permanent basis whilst others stay for short periods of time.

We offer Residential and Nursing care as well as Respite care to give home carers a much needed break. We also provide End of Life care at a time when Residents and their families need specialist help and support and care for younger people with Physical Disabilities.

We are very proud of our homely and welcoming atmosphere. We would be delighted to show you around so that you can experience it for yourself. There is so much more that we can tell you than we can include on these pages so please arrange to pop in for a chat.

Our Residents can pursue their hobbies in a number of communal and quiet lounges provided throughout the Home. They enjoy the tranquillity of our landscaped gardens with lovely views over Bolsover Castle. These areas are used for relaxing, socialising and are great places to invite friends and families when they visit.

Our Residents get very involved in planning our programme of events along with our Activities Co-ordinator. These include arts and crafts, baking and gentle gardening as well as quizzes and musical events. We encourage a mix of individual and group activities. We also organise regular outings to local attractions and plenty or seasonal events at the Home, such as summer barbecues and themed days.

Mealtimes are an enjoyable and sociable part of the day. Each one of our dining areas has tables laid with fresh flowers and linen and our menus are displayed to show the choices available. Snacks, fresh fruit and refreshments are provided 24 hours a day.

We have themed meals including food and wine from around the world. We also enjoy catering for special celebrations for our Residents such as birthdays and anniversaries.
