Bickleigh Down is a purpose built care home providing nursing and social care for older people who are physically frail and older people who have mental health needs such as Alzheimer''s disease.

Most of our rooms are for single occupancy, although several are large enough for sharing companions. Most are en-suite.

Bickleigh Down is situated on the edge of Dartmoor, to the North of Plymouth. It is within easy reach of shops, other amenities and public transport. Specifically, the local shopping centre is only five minutes away.

This home is rated by the Commission for Social Care Inspection as providing ''good'' outcomes for its residents.

THE CARE

Bickleigh Down has several lounges and separate dining rooms, where residents can join the company of others at meal times, which are an important feature of the home.

The home is attended by an experienced hair stylist, a physiotherapist and a qualified Chiropodist.

A varied programme of activities also takes place in the home for the benefit of residents.

Our chef prepares a wide range of home cooked food based upon traditional cooking using fresh produce.

DIRECTIONS

From Plymouth city centre follow the signs for Liskeard/Tavistock and the airport and exit onto Woolwell Road. At the supermarket roundabout continue past the shopping centre, still following Woolwell Road, to a third roundabout. Take a left here onto Pick Pie Drive and the home is on the left.
