DESCRIPTION

Care UK is an experienced provider of Day Care services and currently operates 12 Day Centres and 970 places per week.

Most of these Day Centres are operated in partnership with a local authority. We have managed the transfer of 8 in-house local authority day centres to our operation and have also developed 6 new day centres in partnership with local authorities, 3 of which we operate and 3 of which are managed by the local authority. Many of our day centres are located within the grounds of our care homes and form part of an integrated resource centre. For example, in Poole we operate Day Services, Domiciliary Care and a Care Home providing both respite and long term care all operating from the same hub. This provides service users with access to a range of services from one centre offering integrated care pathways and continuity of care.

All our day services provide a range of support services based on individual care plans. Services include personal care, meals, monitoring of health needs, alternative therapies, life skills training, practical and emotional support for carers and families, and full activities programmes.
