Grosvenor House is an impressively renovated and extended, group of Victorian houses, with accommodation for up to 33 residents. The recent modernisation programme added many extra facilities and public rooms making the Home most comfortable and spacious. Each bed-sitting room is en-suite and most offer remarkable views of the sea, bowling greens and gardens. Some rooms have large bay windows further enhancing the views. The Home is in a quiet residential area of St Leonards-on-Sea near to the post office, bus stops and shops with Hastings town centre only 1½ miles away.

There is a completely refurbished lounge leading out onto a private patio also overlooking the bowling greens and sea front. Also there is now a new dining room adjoining an activities area and conservatory. Residents can choose to bring small pieces of furniture, appliances (once tested for safety) and ornaments into the Home.

The staff team, who are chosen for their dependability and caring attitude, are always on duty and will treat you with kindness and understanding. Greensleeves offers you high standards of care practice as well as health, safety and security. The Home offers all the customary features found in Greensleeves' Homes - lift, aid call alarms, flexible meal times, imaginative programmes of activities, arts and crafts, films, church and library visits, social events and seasonal outings and celebrations. Hairdressers, manicurists and pedicurists attending regularly and their services are available to residents at a modest cost.

Our philosophy of care
Each Greensleeves home is unique, with settings ranging from a listed Georgian country house, to a modern purpose-built home in a London suburb. What is standard to all the homes, however, is a commitment to offer high quality care for older people in comfortable and affordable accommodation. We aim to take account of individual needs, to respect residents' rights, dignity and privacy and to give them the maximum opportunity to exercise personal autonomy and choice.

Greensleeves homes are registered under the Care Standards Act 2000 for the provision of personal care only. We are able to offer prolonged care for those with a variety of conditions providing that specialised nursing care is not required.

Before you move into one of our homes, therefore, we carry out a full assessment of your health, personal and social needs with you. This helps to decide whether a Greensleeves home will be right for you, and provides the basis for your plan of care when you move in.
