DESCRIPTION

Kingswood Lodge is a residential and nursing care home in the village of Kingswood, on the outskirts of Wotton-under-Edge. Our home is a converted grade II listed building which retains many of its original features. Kingswood Lodge also has a modern extension and the original farmhouse has been modernised to meet the needs of our elderly residents.

Our fully trained, caring staff are committed to helping our residents maintain good health, dignity and respect at all times.

The majority of our rooms offer en suite facilities and have views of the garden. There are communal bathrooms with assisted baths on each floor. We have several communal areas within the home. Residents enjoy views of the gardens from our two main lounges.

Our large mature garden is often visited by local wildlife including squirrels, rabbits and ducks. A gazebo offers residents shade in the summer months.

THE CARE

Our Activities Co-ordinator organises both group and one-to-one activities which are tailored to the needs and interests of our residents. Art is a particularly popular pastime. Wotton Art Association come to teach our residents and residents' artwork is displayed as part of the Wotton Art Festival.

Meals are served restaurant-style in our large dining room. Tables are dressed with tablecloths and floral displays, and a menu provides a choice at every meal.
