Gosmore is an historic building that has been carefully converted and extended to create a care home, providing nursing and social care in a selection of differing rooms.

Many of our rooms are for single occupancy, although several are large enough for sharing companions.

Gosmore Care Home is situated in the small village of Gosmore, within easy reach of the shops and other amenities in the market town of Hitchin. Specifically, the large shopping centre of Stevenage is just 5 miles away.

This home is rated by the Commission for Social Care Inspection as providing ''good'' outcomes for its residents.

THE CARE

Gosmore is tastefully decorated and features a TV lounge, quiet sitting room and conservatories, all overlooking the home''s extensive private gardens.

A separate dining room, where residents can join the company of others at meal times, is also an important feature of the home.

Our Chef prepares a wide range of home cooked food based upon traditional cooking using fresh produce. Special diets are catered for and daily choices are available.

The home is equipped with a hair salon, which is managed by an experienced hair stylist. A qualified chiropodist and a range of complementary therapies can be arranged to suit individual requirements.

A varied programme of activities also takes place in the home for the benefit of residents.

DIRECTIONS

From the M1 Luton. Leave the M1 at junction 10 and follow the signs for Luton Airport and Hitchin. Join the A505 and continue to the large Hitchin roundabout. Take the fourth exit (signposted Gosmore) onto Hitchin Road. Gosmore Care Home is 300 metres on the right.

From Stevenage, travel along the A602 Hitchin bypass to the large Hitchin roundabout. Take the 2nd exit onto Hitchin Road. Then as above.
