DESCRIPTION

Garswood House is a purpose-built home offering a friendly, homely and relaxed environment which is active and enjoyable for all. Services include a ten bed specialist household for older people with dementia.

The home is approximately one mile from Ashton town centre. Set within spacious grounds, it has several lounges, a large dining area and an activity lounge. It is a single storey building, well-planned for residents who like to walk around the home due to its figure of eight layout.

THE CARE

For all residents, detailed care plans are developed in conjunction with the resident and in many cases their family. Plans are based on a recognised model of care and have been developed by registered nurses and professionals both within CLS and from external agencies.

Care plans are reviewed at least once a month and include an assessment of residents’ needs, details of what support is needed from other professionals, risk assessments over a number of areas and a number of other aspects that impact on a resident’s care.

The care plans are also designed to make it simple for you to access a clear and accurate history of care and activities provided should you need or wish to.

All CLS homes are staffed by a dedicated and professionally trained workforce. CLS operates a nationally approved training scheme that is unrivalled in the care sector, and is an accredited Investor in People. Every year, around a hundred employees achieve NVQs and specialist training as part of their personal development plans.
