DESCRIPTION

South Park is a purpose built home, providing nursing and social care for the frail elderly and the elderly mentally infirm, in a selection of differing rooms.

Many of our rooms are for single occupancy, although several are large enough for sharing companions. Many are en-suite.

South Park is situated in the Acomb residential area of York, within easy reach of shops and other amenities, public transport and the A1(M). Specifically, the Acomb shopping centre is only 1/2 mile away.

This home is rated by the Commission for Social Care Inspection as providing ''good'' outcomes for its residents.

THE CARE

South Park is tastefully decorated and features TV lounges and a quiet sitting room, in a safe and comfortable environment.

Separate dining rooms, where residents can join the company of others at meal times, are also an important feature of the home.

Our Chef prepares a wide range of home cooked food based upon traditional cooking using fresh produce. Special diets are catered for and daily choices are available.

The home is attended by an experienced hair stylist, a qualified chiropodist and a range of complementary therapies can be arranged to suit individual requirements.

A varied programme of activities also takes place in the home and we have a highly skilled activities therapist.

DIRECTIONS

From the A1(M) & A64
Leave the motorway and join A64 eastbound to York. Turn left onto the slip road at Agricultural College on to the A1237. At the roundabout take the 2nd exit, at the next roundabout take the 3rd exit signposted Acomb then at the mini roundabout take the 2nd exit on to Foxwood Lane, down past Beagle Public House to Gale Lane (mini roundabout) turn left. Take the 2nd turning left into Southpark - next to Gale Lane Fisheries.

From the A19
Follow the A19 to the York outer ring road roundabout. Take the 3rd exit towards Leeds, A1237. Go straight over the next 2 roundabouts. At the next junction turn left towards Acomb. Turn right at next mini-roundabout on to Foxwood Lane. Then as above.
