Kestrel Lodge is a care home in a carefully converted and extended vicarage, providing social care in a selection of differing rooms.

Most of our rooms are for single occupancy, although several are large enough for sharing companions. The majority are en-suite.

Kestrel Lodge is situated in the centre of Kirkby-in-Ashfield, within easy reach of shops and other amenities, public transport and the M1 motorway. Specifically, the McArthur Glen shopping outlet is only a few miles away.

This home is rated by the Commission for Social Care Inspection as providing ''good'' outcomes for its residents.

Kestrel Lodge has a large lounge divided into separate smaller areas, plus a kitchen, which residents and families can use. A separate dining room, where residents can join the company of others at meal times, is also an important feature of the home.

Our Chef prepares a wide range of home cooked food based upon traditional cooking using fresh produce. Special diets are catered for and daily choices are available.

The home is attended by an experienced hair stylist, a qualified chiropodist and a range of complementary therapies can be arranged to suit individual requirements.

A varied programme of activities also takes place in the home for the benefit of residents.

Follow the M1 motorway, leave at junction 28, follow the signs for the A38 for approximately 2 miles. At the 4th set of traffic lights turn right on to the B6018 and follow the signs for Kirkby-in-Ashfield.

Take the B6020 Urban Road into the centre of Kirkby-in-Ashfield and turn right at the traffic lights near the bank onto Kingsway (B6021). Take the 2nd left into St Thomas Avenue and Kestrel Lodge is situated on the right behind the Church.
