DESCRIPTION

Orchard Court is a purpose built care home, providing nursing and social care for people with mental health needs, including Alzheimer''s and other confusional illnessess, in a selection of differing rooms.

Most of our rooms are for single occupancy, although a couple are large enough for sharing companions. The majority have private toilet facilties.

Orchard Court is situated in a residential area close to Taunton, within easy reach of shops and other amenities, public transport and the M5 motorway. Specifically, the beautiful Blackdown Hills are only 1 mile away.

This home is rated by the Commission for Social Care Inspection as providing ''good'' outcomes for its residents.

THE CARE

Orchard Court has TV lounges, a quiet sitting room and conservatory. A separate dining room, where residents can join the company of others at meal times is also an important feature of the home.

Our Chef prepares a wide range of home cooked food based upon traditional cooking using fresh produce. Special diets are catered for and daily choices are available.

A courtyard and a large rear garden are also popular in the summer.

The home is attended by an experienced hair stylist, a qualified chiropodist and a range of complementary therapies can be arranged to suit individual requirements.

A varied programme of activities also takes place in the home for the benefit of residents, including the use of our specialist sensory room.

DIRECTIONS

Follow the A3027 or A38 into Taunton town centre to the top of East Reach. At the traffic lights, turn into Hurdle Way. Take the 1st turning right at the next traffic lights into Silver Street (B3170) heading towards Corfe & Taunton Racecourse. Follow this road for approximately 1 mile. Harp Chase is on the left immediately after the shops on your right and Orchard Court is situated at the end.
