Amethyst House is one of South Yorkshire’s most popular nursing and residential homes. Thank you for coming to visit our web page.

Situated to the south east of Doncaster, our large specially converted home has a pleasant garden with comfortable seating areas, giving our residents the chance to sit back and relax.

Every member of our team works hard to make sure each resident is comfortable and well cared-for. Our highly-trained nurses also provide specialist care for those who need it. We provide nursing, residential, respite and end of life care.

Whether our residents prefer to relax or join in with our daily programme of activities, our staff are always here to help them feel at home.

We have a range of different styles of room, in keeping with the character of the house. All are warm and comfortable, and residents are welcome to personalise their rooms with their own furniture.

There are several lounges around the house, the main one being a large, bright and airy room overlooking the gardens. Residents particularly enjoy relaxing in our lovely gardens, with their mature trees, flower bed, and well-kept lawns.

THE CARE

Our Activities Co-ordinator organises both group and one-to-one activities. Many of our residents find the one-to-one time with staff particularly calming and rewarding. All activities are completely optional - there’s no pressure to participate.

Food is freshly prepared by our in-house chef. Whether it’s shepherd’s pie or salmon fillets, Bakewell pudding or baked apples, the food is always of a high standard. Our menus provide a choice for every meal, and we cater for all dietary and cultural needs.
