DESCRIPTION

Broadlands is a large Edwardian House set in three acres of beautifully maintained wooded grounds leading right onto the Broads. It has been carefully adapted to meet the needs of over forty residents. The gardens have formal and informal areas with benches, walks, arbour, sun-house and private jetties through the reed beds on the banks of the North Bay of Oulton Broad. You can see a wide variety of wild life and waterfowl. Many of the rooms at Broadlands have outstanding views.

Inside there are two very comfortable lounges, dining room, recreation room and an elegantly restored conservatory facing onto the gardens. The facilities include cinema-style TV, and a computer available for residents'' use. The menus are varied and set daily to meet popular demands and include produce from the Home''s own vegetable gardens.

The Home offers all the customary features found in Greensleeves'' Homes - lift, aid call alarms, en-suite rooms (some double), flexible meal times, imaginative programme of activities, arts and crafts, films, church and library visits, social events and seasonal outings, as well as the highest standards of care practice and health and safety.

Each Greensleeves home is unique, with settings ranging from a listed Georgian country house, to a modern purpose-built home in a London suburb. What is standard to all the homes, however, is a commitment to offer high quality care for older people in comfortable and affordable accommodation. We aim to take account of individual needs, to respect residents' rights, dignity and privacy and to give them the maximum opportunity to exercise personal autonomy and choice.

Greensleeves homes are registered under the Care Standards Act 2000 for the provision of personal care only. We are able to offer prolonged care for those with a variety of conditions providing that specialised nursing care is not required.

Before you move into one of our homes, therefore, we carry out a full assessment of your health, personal and social needs with you. This helps to decide whether a Greensleeves home will be right for you, and provides the basis for your plan of care when you move in.
