Birchlands is a purpose-built home, circa 1970. The home is owned and maintained by Anchor Trust, England’s largest not-for-profit provider of support, care and housing for older people. Set in a quiet village location in its own beautiful grounds, Birchlands is close to local amenities and excellent bus routes to nearby towns. Most rooms have bay windows with lovely views of the well-kept gardens.

At Birchlands, we provide residential care for 51 older people (male and female) with increasing physical and mental frailty. Staff are on hand 24-hours a day to provide care and support.

Dining
• Supper is served in the dining rooms or can be enjoyed in your own room
• Choice of healthy and nutritious meals and any special dietary requirements catered for
• Unlike other care homes there is no need to order food in advance

Leisure activities
• Birchlands has a beautiful large garden with coppice, patio and sitting areas, ideal to sit out in summer
• Stimulating and wide-ranging activities are organised at our home each week
