DESCRIPTION

Our aim is to ensure that our home creates an environment which really does feel like home and where friends and family are always welcome.

The home is light, airy and tastefully decorated throughout. It has been carefully designed to offer our residents both comfort and security in a relaxed homely atmosphere and to also provide privacy when needed. Residents are encouraged to bring their own personal items to create more familiar surroundings and make themselves more comfortable.

A full personal laundry service is provided and our team of domestic staff ensure that all rooms are fully serviced to a high standard. A hairdresser visits the home once a week and for those wishing to keep up with the news we will arrange for newspapers and magazines to be delivered.

The home has recently had an extension and has an additional 25 places available. The new bedrooms are decorated and furnished to the highest of standards - please call now to arrange a visit.

The care home is built on one level and is therefore fully wheelchair accessible. Bedrooms are arranged in five suites, all of which have their own lounge, diner, kitchenette and access to a pleasant courtyard and gardens.

Appleby House is set in attractive and secure gardens and is conveniently located close to Epsom town centre. Epsom offers a large range of shops, a regular market and many leisure facilities.

In addition, we have also recently opened The Orchard Centre which offers a welcoming and supportive environment for people aged 50 and over with dementia. The centre is open 24 hours a day, seven days a week and will offer activities and support.

THE CARE

Our staff are selected not only for their experience and qualifications but also for their caring approach. Each resident has their own Key Worker responsible for ensuring that each individual’s personal needs are met.

Our staff will work closely with residents and their relatives to formulate a personal care plan which will be reviewed on a regular basis.

Independence and freedom of choice

Residents in our home are encouraged to lead a fulfilling life and to maintain their independence though day to day choices.

We appreciate the importance of quality of life. Our home has a full programme of activities which cover a wide range of interests and we maintain close links with the local community. Churches, schools and local groups are regularly invited to participate in the life of the home.
