St Oswalds is a purpose built care home, providing nursing and social care in a selection of differing rooms.

Many of our rooms are for single occupancy, although a couple are large enough for sharing companions. The majority offer private toilet facilities.

St Oswalds is situated in the Felling area of Gateshead, within easy reach of shops and other amenities, public transport and the A1 motorway. Specifically, the main Felling shopping centre is situated directly across from the home.

This home is rated by the Commission for Social Care Inspection as providing 'good' outcomes for its residents.

St Oswalds has TV lounges and a quiet sitting room (with both smoking and non smoking areas). Separate dining rooms, where residents can join the company of others at meal times are also an important feature of the home.

Our Chef prepares a wide range of home cooked food based upon traditional cooking using fresh produce. Special diets are catered for and daily choices are available.

The home is attended by an experienced hair stylist, a qualified chiropodist and a range of complementary therapies can be arranged to suit individual requirements.

A varied programme of activities also takes place in the home for the benefit of residents.

From the A1 leave the A1 at the 'Angel of the North' turn off, follow the A6127 Durham Road through Low Fell. Turn off this road at the Swallow Hotel and take the B1426 to Felling via Sunderland Road. After approximately 1 mile, turn right after the Duke of Connaught pub. Follow the road up the hill and straight on to the T-junction on Crowhall Lane. St Oswalds is then directly facing you.
