DESCRIPTION

Herrington Grange is a purpose built care home, providing nursing and social care in a selection of differing rooms.

All of our rooms are for single occupancy and all are en-suite.

Herrington Grange is situated in the New Herrington area of Tyne and Wear, within easy reach of shops and other amenities, public transport and the A19. Specifically, the Houghton Shopping Centre is only 2 miles away.

This home is rated by the Commission for Social Care Inspection as providing ''good'' outcomes for its residents.

THE CARE

Herrington Grange has TV lounges and a quiet sitting room (with both smoking and non-smoking areas). Separate dining rooms where residents can join the company of others at meal times, are also an important feature of the home.

Our Chef prepares a wide range of home cooked food based upon traditional cooking using fresh produce. Special diets are catered for and daily choices are available.

The home is attended by an experienced hair stylist, a qualified chiropodist and a range of complementary therapies can be arranged to suit individual requirements.

A varied programme of activities also takes place in the home for the benefit of residents.

DIRECTIONS

From Durham.
Follow the A690 past Stoneygate Farm, across the first roundabout to the next roundabout at the Board Inn. Turn left onto the B1286. Continue along this road for approximately 3 miles. Herrington Grange is on the left.

From Washington
Take the A182 and continue across the roundabout at Shiney Row. At the second roundabout turn left. Herrington Grange is about 30 yards on the right.

From the A19
Exit at the A60 junction and follow signs for Sunderland until the roundabout at the Board Inn. Then as from Durham.
