Maple Lodge is a purpose built care home, providing nursing and social care for the frail elderly and the elderly mentally infirm, in a selection of differing rooms.

All of our rooms are for single occupancy and all offer en-suite facilities.

Maple Lodge is situated in the Witherwack suburb of Sunderland, within easy reach of shops and other amenitites, public transport and the A19. Specifically, the Bridges shopping centre is only a mile away.

This home is rated by the Commission for Social Care Inspection as providing ''good'' outcomes for its residents.

Maple Lodge has TV lounges and a quiet sitting room (with both smoking and non-smoking areas). Separate dining rooms, where residents can join the company of others at meal times, are also an important feature of the home.

Our Chef prepares a wide range of home cooked food based upon traditional cooking using fresh produce. Special diets are catered for and daily choices are available.

The home is attended by an experienced hair stylist, a qualified chiropodist and a range of complementary therapies can be arranged to suit individual requirements.

A varied programme of activities also takes place in the home for the benefit of residents.

Leave the A19 at the North Sunderland junction and follow Washington Road towards Sunderland. Continue into North Hylton Road and at the end turn left into Old Mill Road. At the T-junction turn left and then immediately right at the Dagmar Pub into Whitchurch Road, which becomes Woolwich Road. Maple Lodge is approximately half a mile on the right.
