ARDEN HOUSE is an attractive Regency property in Leamington Spa. Originally three terraced houses built in the early nineteenth century; it stands in the elegant Clarendon Square and is within walking distance of parks, shops and a bus service. The home has recently been renovated and now provides accommodation and care for thirty two residents. There is a traditional and a Japanese-style garden; both are attractive and well-sheltered.

Each individual room is fully carpeted, furnished and equipped with a nurse call system, T.V. point, easily accessible light switches and plug sockets. Many have en-suite facilities. Residents are encouraged to bring in personal items such as pictures, ornaments and small items of furniture. A pay phone is available but if you wish, you may have a telephone in your own room. Our catering team offers residents a choice of menu for each meal, which is usually taken in the Dining Room. The Home can also cater for medical and special diets.

Each resident is encouraged to lead his/her own life as independently as possible and individual cultural and religious needs are respected. The Home arranges regular activities, outings and trips for the residents. A hairdresser, manicurist and chiropodist all visit the home on a regular basis.

Our philosophy of care

Each Greensleeves home is unique, with settings ranging from a listed Georgian country house, to a modern purpose-built home in a London suburb. What is standard to all the homes, however, is a commitment to offer high quality care for older people in comfortable and affordable accommodation. We aim to take account of individual needs, to respect residents' rights, dignity and privacy and to give them the maximum opportunity to exercise personal autonomy and choice.

Greensleeves homes are registered under the Care Standards Act 2000 for the provision of personal care only. We are able to offer prolonged care for those with a variety of conditions providing that specialised nursing care is not required.

Before you move into one of our homes, therefore, we carry out a full assessment of your health, personal and social needs with you. This helps to decide whether a Greensleeves home will be right for you, and provides the basis for your plan of care when you move in.
