DESCRIPTION

Richmond Village Coventry, formerly known as Bede Village, is located between Coventry and Bedworth in Warwickshire, with easy access to all the motorway networks. The village has recently undergone a major refurbishment and offers luxurious facilities including its very own bowling green. Life at Richmond Coventry is anything but dull. THE CARE

Our Care Centre has a modern Nursing Home providing 24-hour nursing care for the elderly community. Our Nursing Home is monitored and registered by the Commission for Social Care Inspectorate (CSCI).

The Care Home provides long-stay care (continuing care) as well as offering post-medical and post-operative care. Palliative care is also provided including the management of pain and other symptoms and provision of psychological, social and mental support.

The Care Home employs specialist nurses to work on different units, ranging from wound care to palliative care, and includes rigorous ongoing training, auditing and supervision to maintain standards.

Each resident will have a named carer who will oversee their personal needs and encourage participation in whichever of the Villages daily activities are suitable. Located in the village centre is our modern state-of-the-art 50 bed Care Home. In an atmosphere of nursing care and support our aim is to enable residents to live as full, interesting and independent a life as possible. We understand that just because someone is not as physically active as they use to be, it doesnt mean they are mentally inactive. Our Carers and therapists encourage residents to take part in all the activities they like, whether it be a music recital, an art class or a game of bridge. Staff are always available to accompany the less mobile so no one need miss out. We believe that a Care Room in a Richmond Village is care at its best. And unlike a conventional nursing home or care home, residents at Richmond Coventry benefit from being part of a community where they are stimulated by the companionship of their more active neighbours too.

DIRECTIONS

From J3 of the M6, take the A444 north, sign posted Nuneaton. After around half a mile, take the first exit you come to; and at the bottom of the slip road, turn left at the traffic lights into Heath Road. Follow Heath Road until you reach two adjoining mini roundabouts and turn sharp right into Goodyers End Lane. When the houses finish on the right hand side and before you cross the bridge over the motorway, turn right into Hospital Lane. Richmond Coventry is on the left after three hundred yards.
