DESCRIPTION
Pelsall Hall is a late Victorian building of m and acter which has been converted for residential care use while retaining many of its original, distinctive features. It is set within two acres of sheltered and attractive grounds in a pleasant residential area, convenient for shops and local amenities. It is located in the district of Pelsall and is a few minutes drive from the larger shopping and civic centre of Walsall.
There is currently accommodation for 24 residents, but this will increase next year as the Home is extended on spare land to the sides of the main building. New garden and sitting rooms will be added to give a truly excellent variety of communal areas and facilities. Each resident has their own private bed-sitting room many with good views over the grounds. All rooms have hand-basins, TV points and room for residents' favourite furniture, pictures and personal effects. There is a lift to all floors and a two-way call system throughout the building.
The Chef and her team always offer a wide choice of dishes and the menus are reviewed regularly; they can also cater for individual , personal favourites and special or medical diets.
Each resident is encouraged and helped to lead his or her own life as independently as possible and individual cultural and religious needs are respected. There is a full programme of entertainments, music, social activities and outings for those who wish to take part.
A highly qualified and experienced management and staff team provide 24 hour cover for the Home.
Please do ask for a brochure from the Home or Head Office. Fuller information on the facilities and services available at Pelsall Hall can then be gained from the Residents' Pack which you can pick up when you come to view the Home and meet the Manager.
THE CARE
Our philosophy of care
Each Greensleeves home is unique, with settings ranging from a listed Georgian country house, to a modern purpose-built home in a London suburb. What is standard to all the homes, however, is a commitment to offer high quality care for older people in comfortable and affordable accommodation. We aim to take account of individual needs, to respect residents'' rights, dignity and privacy and to give them the maximum opportunity to exercise personal autonomy and choice.
Greensleeves homes are registered under the Care Standards Act 2000 for the provision of personal care only. We are able to offer prolonged care for those with a variety of conditions providing that specialised nursing care is not required.
Before you move into one of our homes, therefore, we carry out a full assessment of your health, personal and social needs with you. This helps to decide whether a Greensleeves home will be right for you, and provides the basis for your plan of care when you move in.
