Resident or Visiting Professionals
This purpose-built care complex in East Grinstead comprises a nursing home for 32 residents, 11 close care apartments and a small daycare centre. Stildon has been specifically designed to enable older people to live independent, happy and fulfilling lives. Conveniently situated close to the centre of East Grinstead, the purpose-built home is set back from the road, surrounded by pretty mature gardens. Stildon provides a home where older people can be helped to live as normally as possible while maintaining their independence and where the emphasis is on quality and enjoyment of life. The staff offer skilled care and are proud to do so in an atmosphere where residents feel they are still in charge of their lives.
Stildon in East Grinstead provides nursing care for 32 residents and has been designed to provide a home-like atmosphere where individual needs can be met. The accommodation is laid out in two wings, each with 16 single bedrooms, a sitting room, dining room, pantry and two assisted bathrooms. All the bedrooms are a generous size with en-suite facilities including a shower. The welcoming entrance hall, sitting rooms and dining rooms all provide comfortable places where people can spend time together. Led by an experienced and well-qualified Home Manager, the staff at Stildon work as a very close team and are committed to providing high standards of care. They make every effort to provide care which promotes privacy and dignity and to understand each resident's needs and preferences. Registered nurses are always on duty supported by well trained Care Assistants and all the staff receive continuous education and development. Local GPs support the home and visit regularly so that residents can be registered with the doctor of their choice. A chiropodist attends regularly and other services can always be arranged. Stildon has close links with the local community and there is an active Friends of Stildon group which supports the life of the home through fundraising and volunteer activity. There are many regular visitors to the home and frequent events and outings are organised. Our commitment to the small team approach to care makes it possible to build close relationships and gain an understanding of each resident''s individual health and social needs.
Leave the M25 at junction 6 and take the A22 (East Grinstead, London Road). Stildon will be signed approx. 1 mile past the A264 junction on the left hand side.
