Nellsar Care Homes are very proud of their flagship Care Home in Kent - Hengist Field Care Centre in Borden, near Sittingbourne. This Home is purpose-built and designed to suit the needs of all its residents.

Offering quality care - with highly trained Nurses and support staff, they are committed to providing the best quality care. The Care Home provides 24-hour care for people with Nursing needs and those who have been diagnosed with Dementia, plus a Rehabilitation Service and Physiotherapy Treatment Room. The Qualified Head Chef also provides healthy and nutritious meals, using locally sourced and fresh ingredients.

Hengist Field Care Centre boasts 75 single bedrooms of various sizes, all with en-suite facilities. It has an onsite Hair Salon, Cinema Room, Activities Room, Sensory Room, an Internet Café, five Lounges, three Dining Rooms, a Relatives' Room and Secure Gardens with water features.

The Activity Co-ordinator is passionate about stimulating the mental and physical needs of the elderly to promote a more active lifestyle. Various Activities are regularly arranged, including outside entertainment and Mini Bus trips. The Home is visited by a large variety of professionals, including an Acupuncturist, an Aromatherapist, Chiropodist, Dentists, Dietician, GP, Optician and specialist Nurses.
