At 175a Parkgate Road we provide support to five adults with learning disabilities, physical disabilities and associated healthcare needs. The vacancy is in a fully adapted room with en-suite facilities for somebody who may have a physical disability. There is a passenger lift to accommodate people who use a wheelchair to access the first floor. The home has good sized communal areas, an accessible garden and has the homely feel of a small service.

A dedicated staff team work under the guidance of an experienced manager. Within this service, each individual is encouraged to devise and engage in a weekly programme of activities with an emphasis on developing their skills and broadening life experiences.

The people living at the service are in their 20s and 30s and engage in a variety of activities both in the home and in the local community, using educational leisure and social clubs. Each person has an individualised package of support, dependent on their needs and the flexible staffing allows everyone to have the support they need to engage in the activities that they want to, developing life skills with the view to be able to live more independently in the future. Each person is supported to develop a unique communication plan, which ensures that their views and wishes are heard and upheld at all times.
