Our Residents get very involved in planning our programme of events along with our Activities Co-ordinator. These include arts and crafts, baking and gentle gardening as well as quizzes and musical events. We encourage a mix of individual and group activities. We also organise regular outings to local attractions including Cyfarthfa Park and Gardens, Cardiff Bay, St Fagan’s National History Museum, Wales Millennium Centre, or just the local pub for a traditional lunch. We have highly nutritious and varied menus and cater for all dietary and cultural needs. All of our food is prepared using fresh ingredients every day in our kitchens. Our dining rooms are warm and welcoming. The tables are laid with fresh flowers and linen and our menus are displayed to show the choices available. Snacks, fresh fruit and refreshments are provided 24 hours a day. Residents can choose to have their meals in their own room or in our dining room depending on how they feel. We encourage friends and family to join us for meals or afternoon tea anytime.

Welcome to Ty Hafod Care Home, our modern purpose built Home where we provide a high standard of care 24 hours a day. Our Residents have varying needs from specialist Nursing support to general assistance with everyday living. Some stay with us on a permanent basis whilst others stay for short periods of time. We offer Nursing care as well as Respite care to give home carers a much needed break. We are very proud of our homely and welcoming atmosphere. We would be delighted to show you around so that you can experience it for yourself. There is so much more that we can tell you than we can include on these pages so please arrange to pop in for a chat. Our Residents can pursue their hobbies in our communal and quiet lounges. They watch television or perhaps listen to music or have some reading time. Our extensive gardens boast beautiful flower beds and trees attracting a range of local wildlife, which Residents enjoy watching. All of these areas are used for relaxing, socialising and are great places to invite friends and families when they visit.
