Alexandra House is a purpose built residential care home, which also offers dementia care. Many of our residents have lived in the local area and we endeavour to maintain strong community links with local organisations and groups. We pride ourselves on creating a comfortable and homely atmosphere where residents can feel at ease.

Care South is a leading provider of residential and dementia care services for older people. We have 18 homes across Dorset, each offering exceptional levels of high quality, innovative care that can be adapted to suit your individual needs.
Whether you’re looking for a short stay, a change of scenery, to give you and your family members a break, or even a new home, we can give you comfort, security, peace of mind and, if you want to get involved, a range of activities too.
We’ll arrange your perfect balance of care. As well as providing comfortable accommodation and high quality meals, we can help with everything from washing and eating to doing the laundry and making the bed.
Our care staff are on hand around the clock, 365 days a year, and there’s an on-site Home Manager who is responsible for the overall running of each home.

We believe that delivering quality care is all about friendly, highly trained staff meeting your particular care needs with uncompromising levels of skill and understanding.
Staff who provide care to some groups of people, such as people with learning disabilities or dementia, receive additional specialist training, while all our staff have access to continual professional career development which keeps them up to date on the latest techniques and research.
Our training and NVQ assessment centre delivers a variety of courses in venues across the south west. We also make this training available to other care companies.
We are registered with the Care Quality Commission and all our staff have passed comprehensive statutory security checks.
