DESCRIPTION

Edmundbyers House is a purpose built care home, providing nursing and social care in a selection of differing rooms.

The majority of our rooms are for single occupancy, although several are large enough for sharing companions. The majority are en-suite.

Edmundbyers House is situated on the outskirts of the historic town of Medomsley, within easy reach of shops and other amenities. Specifically, Consett town shopping centre is only a mile away.

This home is rated by the Commission for Social Care Inspection as providing ''good'' outcomes for its residents.

THE CARE

Edmundbyers House has TV lounges and a quiet sitting room (with both smoking and non-smoking areas). A separate dining room, where residents can join the company of others at meal times, is also an important feature of the home.

Our Chef prepares a wide range of home cooked food based upon traditional cooking using fresh produce. Special diets are catered for and daily choices are available.

The home is attended by an experienced hair stylist, a qualified chiropodist and a range of complementary therapies can be arranged to suit individual requirements.

A varied programme of activities also takes place in the home for the benefit of residents.

DIRECTIONS

From Consett, take the B6308 for Medomsley. At the roundabout go straight ahead. Drive past the Number One Industrial Estate and at the staggered junction turn left. (The Hat and Feather pub is on the right). After 50 metres turn left into Pretoria Court, where the home can be found.
