Pelton Grange is a purpose built care home, providing nursing and social care in a selection of differing rooms.

Many of our rooms are for single occupancy, although several are large enough for sharing companions.

Pelton Grange is situated in the Pelton suburb of Chester le Street, within easy reach of shops and other amenities, public transport and the A1. Specifically, the main Pelton shopping area is situated directly next to the home.

This home is rated by the Commission for Social Care Inspection as providing ''good'' outcomes for its residents.

Pelton Grange has TV lounges and a quiet sitting room (with both smoking and non smoking areas). Separate dining rooms, where residents can join the company of others at meal times are also an important feature of the home.

Our Chef prepares a wide range of home cooked food based upon traditional cooking using fresh produce. Special diets are catered for and daily choices are available.

The home is attended by an experienced hair stylist, a qualified chiropodist and a range of complementary therapies can be arranged to suit individual requirements.

A varied programme of activities take place in the home for the benefit of residents.

From the A1.

Leave the A1 at the Chester le Street turn off and at the roundabout take the 2nd exit to Stanley/Consett on the A693. At the next roundabout, take the 2nd exit, still on the A693, to Stanley/Consett. Carry on up this road to the next roundabout and take the 1st turning on the left into Pelton. Turn right at the T-junction onto Front Street and Pelton Grange is situated on the left hand side approximately 500 yards on past a few shops.
