DESCRIPTION

Cumbernauld is a purpose built care home, providing nursing care for the elderly and mentally infirm elderly, in a selection of differing rooms.

The majority of our rooms are for single occupancy, although several are large enough for sharing companions. All rooms are en-suite.

Cumbernauld care home is situated in the Greenfields area of Cumbernauld, within easy reach of shops, other amenities, public transport and the main A80. Specifically, the Cumbernauld shopping centre is only + a mile away.

THE CARE

Cumbernauld has TV lounges and a quiet sitting room (with both smoking and non-smoking areas). Separate dining rooms, where residents can join the company of others at meal times, are also an important feature of the home.

Our Chef prepares a wide range of home cooked food based upon traditional cooking using fresh produce. Special diets are catered for and daily choices are available.

The home is attended by an experienced hair stylist, a qualified podiatrist and a range of complementary therapies can be arranged to suit individual requirements.

A varied programme of activities also takes place in the home for the benefit of residents.

DIRECTIONS

From Stirling, take the A80 past Castlecary Arches and take the slip road to the left, to the bottom of Wilderness Brae and follow the ring road until you see the Fire Station on the right. The home is at the side of the Fire Station on Abbotdford Road.

From Glasgow - from the A80 take the slip road left for Cumbernauld, pass the road to Condorrat and take the next left marked New Town Hall and Sheriff Court. At the top of this road is a roundabout, turn right, clearly marked Greenfaulds and follow the ring road until you come to the ambulance depot on your right, before you see the Fire Station on your left. Then as above.

From Airdrie, take the the A73 then the B8039 through Stand to Cumbernauld; turn right at Blairlin Industrial Estate and continue straight on at the next roundabout. Take the left slip road to the ring road. At the Fire Station, turn right onto Abbotsford Road.
