Members of the Anchor Community Band getting together to rehearse at Selkirk House in Plymstock.

Anchor Community Band charity single.

The Anchor Community Band’s “See Yourself” was inspired by comments from older people from across England, Scotland and Wales and was recorded by more than 350 people. The track, in aid of national charity Contact the Elderly, is available to pre-order from today (22 April 2013) as a CD on Amazon.co.uk and as a download on iTunes.

All profits from sales of the Anchor Community Band single will be donated to Contact the Elderly. The national charity combats loneliness and social isolation among older people. It organises monthly afternoon tea parties for small groups of people aged 75+ who live alone and supports volunteer hosts and drivers within their local community, offering a regular and vital friendship link every month.

Please visit Grey Pride website for all the details, and to watch their video.
