At an Abbeyfield house, our residents have the privacy of their own accommodation, combined with the companionship of others and the security and support of the dedicated house staff. We welcome applications from all sections of the community. Our residents enjoy home-cooked meals together every day. The charges are fully inclusive of food, cooking, utility bills and council tax. Many residents are eligible for Housing Benefit and other financial support to help towards the monthly cost. Abbeyfield is affordable to all and our staff can help advise you about this. Contact the Area Housing Manager (details above) for information about the monthly costs at this house and about the financial support that may be available. For over 50 years, Abbeyfield has been guided by the shared beliefs that older people have an important role to play amongst their family, their friends and in their communities, and that overcoming loneliness and insecurity can significantly increase an older person’s wellbeing, sense of security and quality of life.
