    About this property

This residential care home was purpose built to provide accommodation for older people. It was commissioned by members of the Wolverhampton branch of Soroptimist International Building, and building commenced in 1978. The home was known as Soroptimist House, and operated independently until 2012.

On August 1st 2012 the home merged with the Abbeyfield Society. Abbeyfield Parkdale, as the home was renamed, has 29 bedrooms, 11 of which are en-suite, two comfortable communal lounges and a large pleasant dining room overlooking enclosed, mature gardens. Since the merger, the home has undergone a major programme of refurbishment which has greatly improved the facilities and added to the quality of life and comfort of our residents.

The home is set back off the main road and is bright, airy and spacious. Each bedroom has an attractive bay window overlooking either the front or rear gardens, giving each room good natural light.

There is a mature garden in front of the home and at the rear. It is totally enclosed and a very tranquil area. It has a large patio area where residents can sit outside safely and enjoy the fresh air and sunshine should they choose.
