The Legard is a friendly service with an experienced and well trained staff team. We believe there are no limits to what you can do when you work as a team. We aim to support each person to live as normal a life as possible. We supported one individual, whose mother had always looked after his finances, to manage his own money. Individuals can choose to take part in a wide range of activities and we can also support people to attend college.

 

The service is three miles from Hull city centre, which is very wheelchair friendly. In addition to a good local bus service with a stop 100 yards from the service, we also have a wheelchair accessible minibus.

We hold regular service user meetings to find out what everyone thinks about the service and how it should move forward. We have good working relationships with the local council.

The service has been designed to meet the needs of everyone who lives there. All bedrooms have overhead tracking and profiling beds and shared use of one of the bathrooms, which have tracking and a rise and fall bath. There is a lift to the first floor and work surfaces are height adjustable.
