At Hamilton House we provide understanding and support for people with Autism and complex needs using O’Brien’s five accomplishments and thrives on community presence, empowering services users in everyday life. Hamilton House is a large, friendly and welcoming home where we recognise the importance of choice and help people to improve communication and daily living skills focusing on building positive outcomes for everyone.

What it's like to live here

Hamilton House is situated within a pleasant rural community in the Worcestershire countryside where in the village there is a local shop, post office and pub as well as access to local farms and small holdings that we proactively encourage service users to help out and work on these farms. Daily tasks to develop skills include shopping, cooking, laundry and cleaning and are dependent upon an individual's ability.

With good access to Worcester and Hereford centres, Hamilton House has its own vehicle where which provides transport to local activities; swimming pool, cinema, theatre’s, bowling alley, college’s and work based courses available, all just a few miles away.

Service facilities

Hamilton House is registered for 6 people, 5 beds are in the main house and each room has an ensuite wet room. There is also a single service self contain flat, with fully fitted kitchen, lounge / dining room and large up-stairs bedroom with large en-suite wet room. The superb large lounge has a double aspect and there is a delightful rear courtyard garden. The kitchen is also large with granite worktops and a grange cooker. to accompany the large dining room with patio doors leading to the extensive front garden, mainly laid to lawn with two patio areas and pergola. At the bottom of the garden there is a vegetable area with raised beds.

We have a large car park and extended driveway leading to the house which is accessed by secure electric wooden gates. Hamilton House empowers service users to make choices, we set goals and work towards positive outcomes. Each service users person centred plan is regularly reviewed so that we ensure that everyone’s personal objectives are being met focusing on promoting independence and encouraging participation in paid employment, local volunteering opportunities and community groups.

Service users are encouraged to work closely with their key workers and engage in regular key worker meetings. This encourages improved health through being physically active, along with wellbeing and making a positive contribution. Monthly service user meetings also take place to gain continued understanding of what each individual wants and like to provide feedback on the direction where they see Hamilton House heading. Hamilton House is a service user led home, where empowerment is paramount in order to support individuals to develop the skills they need to live as independently as possible.
