Specialises in: Learning disability, Physical disability

At Chiltern View we offer support to nine individuals. We can support people with learning and physical disabilities.

Chiltern View is located in the quiet village of Whitchurch. The village has a peaceful atmosphere, yet is within easy reach of Aylesbury, a larger town with a wide range of leisure facilities. We have two service vehicles.

Chiltern View is a bungalow which is wheelchair accessible and has been adapted to meet individuals’ needs with equipment such as hoists and low level work surfaces. The conservatory has sensory equipment and soft lighting, making this the ideal place to relax. The service has a large garden.

Everyone is involved in the running of the service, through meetings, menu planning and using picture boards to plan activities. We keep everyone informed about news and any changes to the service and make sure people know their rights.

One gentleman enjoys being involved in staff interviews, talking to candidates and giving feedback. Other individuals take responsibility for showing visitors round the service or sorting and delivering the post.

Several people have gained qualifications at college or adult education centres on courses such as maths, cooking, gardening and pottery. The sports college offers activities including football, swimming and rounders.

We take part in village events and have good links with the local parish. We invite friends to coffee mornings and events like Christmas parties.

Staff receive a wide range training to meet each person’s needs and are friendly, approachable and supportive. They treat each person as an individual at all times.
