A homely, purpose-built Care Home, Silverpoint Court Residential Care Centre occupies a strategic and elegant position which looks down on the picturesque Thames Estuary and Canvey's bustling fishing community. Both stylishly decorated lounges offer panoramic views of the Essex coastline, Hadleigh castle and Old Leigh.

Silverpoint Court offers 33 bedrooms including three Premier rooms. All the bedrooms are stylishly decorated with rich, warm colours and fresh flowers - there is a perfect ambience, which will make you feel at ease. Some of the bedrooms have uninterrupted views across the sea. Clearly visible is the famous Southend Pier which was first opened in 1889, then extended to accommodate the increased number of steam boats visiting the Pier.

Dining at Silverpoint Court is a delightful, social experience to look forward to and be enjoyed by all. Our qualified Head Chef prepares menus which comprise of fresh and seasonal foods which are nutritious and tasty. The dishes we prepare reflect and include the likes and requests of our residents. Our focus is to provide a balanced nutritious diet using fresh, quality ingredients. Residents can choose to eat their meals in the dining room or, if they prefer, in the comfort of their own room.

At Silverpoint Court, your right to determine your own choices will be respected, and the views and wishes of your family always taken into consideration. If you need skilled help and advice, you will always have the right to access someone who is experienced and qualified.

Socialising forms an essential part of daily life at Silverpoint Court, and we run a varied calendar of events – including group activities and visits from musicians and cabaret artists. Our summer barbeques and garden parties are also very popular.

We are a small, friendly home. Residents are always encouraged to remain active and pursue hobbies and interests. We also arrange trips and days out to places of interest, such as the theatre, local museums and nearby Bell Wharf Beach – a picturesque sandy cove famous for its cockle fishing heritage.

Our Activities Co-ordinator makes sure there is something for everyone and all are invited to join in. Residents also enjoy celebrating special occasions such as birthdays and anniversaries. We offer something for everyone – even if it’s just a chat and holding hands – our focus is on interaction at all levels, regardless of capability.
