A residential care home in Jersey that aims to create a warm and caring environment that is a true home from home. Ridout House is managed by the Caesearea Association which was established in 1973 as a non-profit making, charitable association. We are very proud of our excellent reputation within the caring community as a provider of quality care. Ridout House has nine en-suite bedrooms, including two very large bedrooms suitable for married couples. Recognising how important it is for new residents to settle into the home, residents may furnish their rooms with their own furniture and belongings if they wish. Our large bright sitting room, dining room and conservatory overlook the well maintained garden. There is an eight person passenger lift for comfortable access to all floors. Our residents come from all walks of life with a combination of funded and self funded supported placements. We welcome both male and female residents and have accommodation for married couples if required. Residents are served breakfast, lunch and supper in the dining room or in the comfort of their own rooms as they wish. Residents are permitted to make tea and coffee in their rooms if they are able to do so, although morning and afternoon tea and coffee is served in the sitting room for those who wish.

As best practice, Ridout House is committed to the ongoing training of its staff in accordance with the National Care Standards Act. A Care Plan is tailored to meet the needs and abilities of every resident. Each resident has their Care Plan evaluated and discussed at regular intervals, and genuine and informed choices of the options available for the future are given. This enables our staff to ensure that all of our residents are given the appropriate care, with flexibility and sensitivity to the individual’s changing needs and abilities.

Ridout House is situated close to the centre of St. Helier and yet in a quiet residential area. Churches, shops and a post office are within close proximity. Family and friends of residents are welcome to visit between the hours of 9.00am and 9.00pm.
