Yourcarehome.co.uk to feature care homes for people with disabilities

Already a well established directory website listing around 2,000 care homes for the elderly and boasting many of the largest names in care in their membership, yourcarehome.co.uk are branching out.

From the 1st of April they will have a new website which will include care homes for people of all ages and covering every type of care. In addition to listing care homes they will also list home care agencies. The navigation of the website will be very easy for users to identify and immediately get to the section they need.

They first launched their website nearly five years ago. They are now the second largest elderly care home directory website and are partnered with Reevoo who provide an opt-in customer review service which was featured by the OFT. Additionally, yourcarehome  have been working with the Department of Health and NHS Choices in helping them develop the Provider Quality Profile (PQP).

There are other directory websites which list care homes for people with disabilities, but they don’t clearly distinguish between the different services offered by the various care homes, and often care homes for people with disabilities can be mixed in with care homes for the elderly or even care homes for children. Yourcarehome recognised that this was not helpful to anyone seeking care. One of their major concerns when designing the new site was how to separate the different categories of listings and they have achieved this in a simple and elegant way.

Mark Sadler of yourcarehome.co.uk says “We are really excited to be able to offer a quality platform for disability homes.  We feel strongly that everyone should have clear, simple and accessible information to find the care of their choice in all areas and we are looking forward to building strong relationships with the disability care homes, as we have done in the elderly care sector.”
