Ashby Court Nursing and Residential Home

Purpose-built, Ashby Court is thoughtfully designed and very well equipped. Full lift access, spacious communal areas and delightful landscaped gardens make for a thoroughly pleasant environment.

The care we offer

At Ashby Court, residents are welcomed for long or short stays, including respite. We provide residential care, nursing care, nursing dementia care and convalescence. We also offer care for people with Parkinson’s disease, older people with physical disabilities  and those those who need palliative care. There is also a dedicated17-bedded part of the home located on the first floor to the specialist care of its dementia residents.

Food

Our chef manager creates a wide range of balanced, appetising dishes. The menu changes daily, with meals prepared using only the freshest ingredients – some of which come from our vegetable patch or herb garden. Residents’ individual tastes and dietary requirements are catered for. Meals can be taken in the dining room or in the privacy of residents’ own rooms, if preferred.

Our home offers a Night Bite menu that’s available between 6.30pm and 6.30am, providing a range of food including fresh fruit, sandwiches, cereals, yoghurts and hot and cold beverages to those who need it.

Activities

There is always something stimulating and interesting to do at Ashby Court. Daily activities take into account every resident’s interests and level of ability. Carpet bowls, arts and crafts, bingo and films are popular activities. Visiting entertainers regularly give musical performances, and we often arrange outings into the lovely surrounding countryside and local places of interest.
