Winters Park is located in a delightful residential area of Penrith, conveniently situated within walking distance of local shops and on a local bus route. The beautiful historical market town is on the edge of the Lake District and has a number of shops, museums, galleries and restaurants for residents to visit.

The care we offer

Winters Park is a purpose-built residential home for elderly residents. We also provide convalescence, palliative care and short stay/respite. Our staff are dedicated and highly trained to provide extensive, personal support based on the resident’s individual care plan.

Winter's Park is a welcoming, friendly home firmly placed in the community, making it convenient for local visitors.

Food

Meals are an important and enjoyable part of the day at Winters Park, and our chef creates a wide range of tasty nutritious dishes, prepared daily using fresh produce. All meals are nutritionally balanced and we aim to fully understand new residents' needs, tastes and special diets shortly after their arrival with us here at Winter’s Park.

There is a choice of full cooked meals or cold options and lighter snacks, and we offer a Night Bite menu, available between 6.30pm and 6.30am, for those who need it.

Activities

At Winters Park, our activity co-ordinator ensures there’s always something enjoyable to do for residents of all abilities – from dominoes and bingo, to musical appreciation and arts and craft sessions. We are frequently visited by local entertainers such as accordion and organ players, and a hairdresser works from our on-site salon once a week

As part of our Big 12 events, we hold at least one special activity every month to mark traditional days, which can involve everything from poetry readings on Burns Night to festive celebrations on Christmas Day.
