Richmond Villages A breath of fresh air for retirement living

For nearly 20 years Richmond Villages have been at the fore front of Retirement Living. Having won numerous awards for architecture, landscaping and care, Richmond Villages are now seen as the benchmark for retirement villages in the UK.

From our very first Village in Nantwich, Cheshire to our latest village in Letcombe Regis, Oxfordshire, the quality, atmosphere and care shines through.

For residents of a Richmond Village, the idea that life can get better as they get older is more than just a welcome thought, it's a distinct possibility. They have chosen to live in a Richmond Village because they want to get the most from their retirement years whilst maintaining their independence for as long as possible. Purpose built to the highest possible standards, our luxury retirement communities allow people to enjoy an independent lifestyle within a supportive continuing care community. With it comes the freedom from worry about having to move again should their circumstances change.

What a lot of people are surprised about when visiting a Richmond Village is the number of staff employed. A typical village will employ approximately 100 people including village manager and heads of departments, nursing and care staff, hospitality, activities team, housekeeping, administration, gardening, maintenance and driver.

Richmond understand that social interaction and physical and mental activity are vital to a happy and fulfilling later life. Our villages are designed to allow residents easy access to a range of facilities, services and social activities with the reassurance of on site care and support if required.

Associated Retirement Community Operators (ARCO)

Richmond Villages have joined other reputable retirement operators with the launch of a trade association called Associated Retirement Community Operators (ARCO). ARCO represents more than 250 retirement communities in the UK and aims to promote confidence in the sector, ensuring that all members are providing a high quality service to their residents and meeting the standards laid out in the ARCO Charter. This charter sets out what is expected by its member organisations which include common standards around a variety of resident services including accommodation, care, lifestyle, contracts and costs.
